Pakistan rejects pressure theory and remains stick to pro Palestine policy.

The Foreign Office on Tuesday termed as ‘fabricated’ the media reports which claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan in an interview had mentioned the pressure of United States on Pakistan to recognize Israel.

Pakistan rejects pressure theory

FO Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said the PM had clearly articulated Pakistan’s position in this regard.

He cited PM’s stance that Pakistan could not recognize Israel without a just settlement of the Palestine issue satisfactory to the Palestinian people.

Furthermore, he said the Prime Minister had stressed that Pakistan’s policy in this regard rooted in Quaid-e-Azam’s vision.

The FO Spokesperson noted the PM’s remarks as an unequivocal reaffirmation of Pakistan’s position on the subject.

Hence, Imran Khan-led Pakistan’s position leave no room for baseless speculation.

Meanwhile, Chaudhri further said Pakistan will continue to support a two-state solution in accordance with the relevant United Nations and OIC resolutions as well as international law.

That means Palestine state in pre-1967 borders and Al-Quds Al-Sharif as the capital of Palestine.

National and international media had earlier carried reports quoting PM Khan regarding pressure.

Those reports suggested that some countries (U.S. and some Arab regimes) were mounting pressure on Pakistan to recognize Israel.
