Pakistan reports 58 more deaths and over 33oo new Coronavirus cases during last 24 hours.

As the second wave of Coronavirus sustains its rise in Pakistan, the government confirmed 58 more deaths due to the deadly virus.

According to NCOC, 3,308 new cases reported during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the death toll has now reached 8,361.

Moreover, 355,000 patients stand recovered from the pandemic in the country.

There are now 53,126 active cases of virus infection and positive results ratio is about 7 point 94 percent.

Meanwhile, Minister for information and Broadcasting has expressed displeasure over the increased Coronavirus cases in Peshawar and Multan amid PDM’s public gatherings.

In a tweet Sunday, Shibli Faraz said such political gatherings are becoming a major cause of Corona spread in the country.

He further said that holding of such gatherings amounts to the violation of Law and SOPs.

The Minister said Opposition leaders have quarantined themselves in their homes in a comfortable environment.

But he lamented they are using people for personal political gains.

On the other hand, Minister for Economic Affairs Khusro Bakhtiar has said despite Covid-19, Pakistan’s economic performance remained strong.

In a statement on Sunday, he gave credit for this success to prudent policies of the government.

Moreover, he said Macro Economic Indicators showed positive trend during the last six months.

Khusro Bakhtiar also cited growth in different sectors.

He said Current Account Balance is one point two billion dollars after 17 years and construction package has augmented the production.
