PM lauds private welfare organisations for relief to Coronavirus-hit people.

Prime Minister Imran Khan was talking to a delegation of Saylani Welfare Trust, who called on him in Islamabad today (Wednesday).

He appreciated the role of various welfare trusts engaged in providing relief to Coronavirus-hit population.

PM Khan reiterated the government’s resolve to win fight against Coronavirus with the support of all the stakeholders concerned.

Speaking on the occasion, the members of the delegation said that the government’s decision to allow construction industry to resume its operations will help ease difficulties being faced by the business class in the country.

The delegation also appreciated the timely steps taken by the federal government to cope with post-corona situation and providing relief to weaker segments of society.

The delegation briefed the prime minister about relief activities initiated by the trust for Coronavirus-hit population.

On the other hand, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan called protection of the people of Pakistan their top priority.

In a tweet on Wednesday, she said federal government will continue to further strengthens measures adopted by the provincial governments to check the spread of coronavirus.

She said Imran Khan is the Prime Minister of Pakistan and his aim is to ensure protection of the rights of the people of all the federating units.

The Special Assistant said all provinces are free and independent to make their decisions. She said eighteenth amendment guarantees constitutional powers of provinces.

She said Sindh government can take decisions according to the circumstances of its province and there is no restriction from the federal government in this regard.
