Govt to refund the amount to all Pakistani intending pilgrims of Hajj.

In a statement issued in Islamabad, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Dr. Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said this.

He said the government has decided to refund the amount to all Pakistani intending pilgrims of Hajj.

He said refund procedure will begin soon and the ministry would inform them through SMS after completing necessary procedure.

Dr Noor-ul-Haq Qadri also welcomed the decision which the Saudi government took about conduction of Hajj on a limited scale this year.

He said this decision has been taken in accordance with the Shariah keeping in view of the current situation.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia disallowed international pilgrims for Hajj this year due to pandemic.

Ministry of Hajj of Saudi Arabia has announced hold Hajj this year with a very limited number of pilgrims already residing in the Kingdom owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement on Twitter, it announced no permission for Hajj to international pilgrims.

The Saudi ministry said they took the decision to ensure Hajj is performed in a safe manner from a public health perspective while observing all preventative measures and the necessary social distancing protocols.
