Date for submission of nomination papers for Senate elections extended.

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) made this announcement.

Date for submission of nomination papers for Senate elections

According to the ECP, they extended date for submission of nomination papers till Monday.

Furthermore, it stated that the extension aims to facilitate the candidates.

As per the new schedule, they will publish list of contesting candidates on Tuesday next.

Besides, they will hold scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on the 17th and 18th of this month.

The candidates can file appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers on 20th of this month.

Moreover, the ECP sets 23 February the last date for disposing of these appeals.

The revised list of candidates will be published on 24st of this month.

The candidates can withdraw their nomination papers on 25th of this month.

Meanwhile, ECP announced polling on the forty eight seats on March 03.

The parliamentarians and and the four provincial assemblies members will votes for new Senators.
