In this regard, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said Pakistani women have contributed immensely for glory and honour of our nation.

He said women in uniform have proved their mettle by contributing copiously in diverse fields serving the nation and humanity.

Furthermore, he said they deserve our immense respect and gratitude.

The army chief said women are also at forefront against COVID.

Meanwhile, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri have expressed their resolve to address the challenges which women.

They expressed the resolve in their separate messages on the eve of the International Women’s Day.

Pakistanis celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

The Speaker underlined protection of women’s rights top priority of the incumbent government.

He further noted it as imperative for formation of a progressive society.

Besides, Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri said Pakistan’s Constitution guarantees fundamental rights of women.

He referred to financial security, job, business, education and freedom of choice in their profession, participation in political and social activities.

Besides celebrating women’s achievements, the Day also aims to raise awareness about women’s equality.

Moreover, it also aims to lobby for accelerated gender parity and raise funds for female-focused charities.
