Transporters End Strike After Successful Negotiations with Punjab Government
Negotiations between transporters and the Punjab government have been successful, leading to the announcement that the strike has officially ended. The agreement was reached during talks between representatives of the transporters and a senior provincial minister.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz formed a committee to resolve the issues faced by transporters. The committee, headed by Marriyum Aurangzeb, includes representatives from the transport sector. A meeting of the committee is scheduled for tomorrow, where transporters will discuss their concerns with Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb.
The president and other officials of the Transport Alliance signed a reconciliation resolution, formally ending the strike.
Maryam Aurangzeb emphasized that all issues will be resolved through mutual understanding, adding that the government’s aim is to improve conditions for citizens.
