Karachi Police Remove 11 SHOs Amid Internal Inquiries in Major Administrative Shake-Up
In a significant administrative overhaul, Karachi Police have removed 11 Station House Officers (SHOs) from their posts due to ongoing internal inquiries, according to reports.
Authorities confirmed that disciplinary action was taken against officers facing investigation, leading to the official denotification of SHOs across multiple police stations in the city. An official notification has been issued to enforce the changes.
As part of the decision, seven SHOs have been strictly barred from holding any station command until the completion of their respective inquiries.
The reshuffle has impacted several key areas in Karachi, including police stations in Artillery Maidan, Bilal Colony, North Nazimabad, and Defence, where SHOs have been removed from their positions.
Additional stations affected include Gadap, Gulshan-e-Maymar, SITE Area (A), and Garden police stations, all of which saw leadership changes following the administrative action.
A female SHO heading a dedicated women’s police station has also been among those relieved of command duties.
The move reflects an intensified effort by law enforcement authorities to enforce accountability within the police structure and ensure disciplinary compliance across Karachi’s policing system.
