Financial Dealings Emerge as Key Focus in Mir Raza Murder Case

Financial dealings have emerged as a key angle in the investigation into the murder of Mir Raza. According to sources, several creditors had also contacted his business partner, Muhammad Ahmed, regarding outstanding debts. The investigation team questioned Ahmed for nearly three hours, while sources said three to four individuals had contacted Mir Raza seeking repayment of loans.

Sources said some individuals had demanded repayment of Rs25 million, while others had sought Rs50 million. Investigators are examining the role of those who had demanded repayment and assessing whether their financial dealings with Mir Raza were connected to the case. More important individuals may also be brought into the investigation as the probe progresses.

Mir Raza’s smartwatch and mobile phone have been retrieved from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). Investigation team member Inspector Ghulam Nabi Afridi also visited the site of the incident, but no new significant evidence has so far been recovered. Investigators are considering obtaining additional CCTV footage from the route between Mir Raza’s residence and the incident site, while the case continues to be investigated from multiple angles.
