Petrol price jumps by Rs9.66 per litre

The government has increased the price of petrol while prices of diesel and kerosene have been reduced.

The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification of new prices of petroleum products.

According to the notification, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs9.66 per litre after which the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs289.41 per litre.

The price of diesel has been reduced by Rs3.32 per litre. After latest increase, the new price of diesel has been fixed at Rs282.24 per litre.

Apart from this, kerosene oil has been made cheaper by Rs2.27 per litre, after which its new price has been fixed at Rs186.39 per litre.

The price of light diesel oil has also been cut by Rs0.38, after which the new price has been set at Rs167. 80 per litre.

Petroleum levy on petrol and diesel will remain Rs60.60 per litre.
