PTI condemns ‘raid’ on Achakzai’s house as NA session underway

The National Assembly session has begun under the chairmanship of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.

The session started after a delay of 42 minutes.

PTI Omar Ayub expressing his views in the house said the house of Mahmood Khan Achakzai was raided. Condemning the raid, he said that a resolution would be moved.

On the occasion, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemned the alleged raid on the house of presidential candidate  Mahmood Khan Achakzai. He demanded an inquiry into the incident.

Meanwhile, The newly-elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will take the oath of office today.

The swearing-in ceremony will be held at 3pm at the President’s House. The preparations for the swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected prime minister have been completed, while the invitations to participate in the swearing-in ceremony have also been issued.

It should be noted that during the special session of the National Assembly yesterday, Shehbaz Sharif, the joint candidate of the eight-party alliance-led by PML-N, was elected as 33rd prime minister of Pakistan.
