Punjab govt allocates Rs5bn fund to prevent Coronavirus spread.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday said that the provincial government has allocated funds worth Rs5 billion in order to curtail the risk of the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

While talking to the media in Lahore on Wednesday, he said that as many as 28 people have been tested positive for the COVID-19 in Punjab.

Moreover, he also cited 189 suspected cases of the virus in the province.

CM Buzdar said that a ban has been imposed on visiting various tourist destinations including Murree.

He said shopping malls and restaurants will be closed at 10pm whille factories and markets will remain open.

Interestingly, he also announced that Punjab government will establish a center in Taftan.

The provincial government has planned to build 1,000-bed temporary field hospital.
