Afghan cricketers broke their fast on the field and fellow players offered prayers in the dressing room during an ODI match Ireland.

The last ODI match of the three-match series between Ireland and Afghanistan was played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Earlier, Ireland won the toss and elected to bowl first.

During Afghanistan’s innings, as soon as the sunset time came, the match was stopped for a moment, during which the Afghan batsman Muhammad Nabi and captain Hashmatullah Shahidi broke their fast on the field.

The Afghan Cricket Board shared a video of the cricketer breaking his fast on the field, in which Muhammad Nabi and Hashmatullah can be seen breaking their fast with dates and water.

Apart from this, other Afghan cricketers in the dressing room also broke their fast and offered prayers.

It should be noted that Afghanistan scored 236 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Rahmanullah Garbaz 51, Hashmatullah 69 and Mohammad Nabi scored 48 runs.

Chasing a target of 237 runs, the Ireland team was bowled out for just 119 runs. Afghanistan won the match by 117 runs and sealed the series by two nil.
