Renowned politician and scholar Dr Mubashir Hasan passes away

Renowned politician and scholar Dr Mubashir Hasan passes away in Lahore today.

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto-led Pakistan Peoples Party came into being at the house of Dr. Mubashir Hasan in Lahore in late 1960s.

He had served Pakistan as finance minister during tenure of Mr. Bhutto as prime minister.

Dr Mubashir had authored books as well.

He died at the age of 98 after he protracted ailment.

Meanwhile, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari expressed grief and sorrow over death of the nonagenarian Dr Mubashir Hasan.

Other high officials of the PPP and other parties have also condoled over the demise.
