The stage is fully prepared for the final showdown of the Pakistan Super League Season 11, as Hyderabad Kingsman take on Peshawar Zalmi in a highly anticipated championship clash tonight at Lahore’s historic Gaddafi Stadium.
The match, set to begin at 8 PM, will be preceded by a grand closing ceremony featuring top Pakistani music stars including Atif Aslam, Ali Azmat, Arif Lohar, Aima Baig, and the Sabri Sisters, creating a festive atmosphere for fans inside and outside the stadium.
Both teams have expressed strong determination ahead of the final. Zalmi captain Babar Azam said that lifting the trophy is the ultimate dream for every skipper, while Kingsman captain Marnus Labuschagne stated that his side has worked hard throughout the tournament and is ready to maintain its winning momentum.
Security arrangements have been significantly strengthened for the high-profile match. Punjab Police Inspector General Abdul Karim confirmed that more than 7,000 personnel will be deployed across Lahore to ensure safety and smooth operations.
Special security units such as the Dolphin Force, Elite Force, and PRU teams will patrol around Gaddafi Stadium, while senior officers will supervise both security and traffic management throughout the event.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has also announced record prize money for PSL 11. The winning team will receive $500,000, while the runner-up will earn $300,000. An additional $200,000 has been allocated for the best-performing franchise, and $500,000 will be distributed among players to reward standout performances.
Officials believe the increased financial incentives will further enhance competition and raise the overall standard of the league.
