UFC 320: Who Won and Who Lost – Everything You Need to Know!
The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas witnessed an electrifying night of fights at UFC 320, featuring stunning knockouts, swift submissions, and dominant performances from some of the sport’s top fighters.
The event was headlined by the highly anticipated light heavyweight title bout between Alex Pereira and Magomed Ankalaev, which ended in a dramatic fashion. Pereira secured the championship in a mere 80 seconds, shocking fans and critics alike.
Brazil’s Alex Pereira wasted no time, aggressively pressing forward from the opening bell and landing a powerful punch that rocked Ankalaev. When Ankalaev attempted a takedown, Pereira thwarted the effort and unleashed a barrage of elbows and punches until the referee intervened.
With this victory, Pereira became a two-time light heavyweight champion, avenging his earlier loss to Ankalaev this year. Reflecting on his win, Pereira stated, “I came to prove a point and I did it.”
In the co-main event, Merab Dvalishvili successfully defended his bantamweight title against Cory Sandhagen via unanimous decision (49-45, 49-45, 49-46). Despite Sandhagen taking the first round, Dvalishvili dominated the remainder of the fight, setting a new UFC record with 20 takedowns in a title bout. This marked Dvalishvili’s third title defense and his 14th consecutive victory.
Former light heavyweight champion Jiří Procházka made a thrilling comeback, knocking out Khalil Rountree Jr. in the third round. After trailing on points, Procházka delivered a series of powerful punches to secure the knockout, reinforcing his status as a top contender.
Other notable finishes included Youssef Zalal submitting Josh Emmett with an armbar just 98 seconds into the fight, and Joe Pyfer rallying from a challenging first round to submit Abus Magomedov with a rear-naked choke in the second.
The preliminary card featured several impressive finishes as well. Edmen Shahbazyan knocked out Andre Muniz late in the first round, while Daniel Santos earned one of the fastest knockouts of the year with a 24-second TKO. Fighters Jakub Wiklacz, Ateba Gautier, Ramiz Brahimaj, and Farid Basharat also secured significant wins.
Yana Santos defeated Macy Chiasson by unanimous decision, overcoming the disadvantage of Chiasson missing weight prior to the fight.
