BISP launches new survey 2025 for deserving families

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) remains Pakistan’s biggest welfare program, providing financial help to millions of low-income families. To make sure the right people are receiving support, the government has started a new BISP survey for 2025.

This new survey is designed to update old records, include new deserving families, and ensure fair distribution of funds. People can also update their information if their family or income situation has changed.

What Is the New BISP Survey?

The BISP 2025 survey is being conducted under the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER). Teams are visiting households to collect data such as:

This information helps calculate a Poverty Means Test (PMT) score, which decides if a family qualifies for financial aid.

How to Complete the BISP Survey 2025

Step 1: Visit your nearest BISP Tehsil Office.
Step 2: Bring the required documents:

• Original CNIC

• B-Forms of children

• Latest electricity or gas bill

• Proof of income (if available)
  Step 3: Fill out the NSER questionnaire with the help of an official.
  Step 4: Wait for verification and a confirmation SMS from BISP once your data is approved.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, you must:

• Be a Pakistani citizen with a valid CNIC.

• Belong to a low-income household.

• Not be a government employee or taxpayer.

• Not own large property or expensive vehicles.

• Not receive similar benefits from other programs.

How to Check Your BISP Status

You can check your status by:

1. SMS: Send your CNIC to 8171.

2. Online: Visit the 8171 web portal and enter your CNIC.

3. In-person: Go to your nearest BISP office for confirmation.

Why Some Families Are Disqualified

Families may be removed due to:

• Increased income or new employment.

• Wrong or missing information.

• Duplicate or expired CNICs.

• Becoming ineligible under new rules.
