UN Special Rapporteurs forward third communication to India on IOJK situation.

Since August 5, 2019, United Nations Special Rapporteurs have made public their third communication forwarded to India.

Narendra Modi-led fascist BJP government of India had repealed special status of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir on August 05, 2019.

In the communication, UN expressed grave concern over excessive use of force by Indian troops and police personnel and ill treatment of Kashmiris during arrests and detentions.

The UN urged Indian government to conduct a prompt and impartial investigation if India has not probed into the allegations of arbitrary killings, torture and ill-treatment and to prosecute suspected perpetrators.

On the other hand, Kashmiris observed the 4th martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani on Wednesday.

They observed anniversary on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world.

Indian troops extra-judicially killed Burhan Wani and his friends in Kokernag area of Islamabad district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, occupied Kashmir witnessed complete shutdown.

Earlier, APHC leader called for strike to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Wani and his associates Sartaj Ahmad and Parvez Ahmad.

Moreover, Hurriyet leaders paid rich tributes to Burhan Wani.

They said that his life, struggle and martyrdom would continue to serve as source of courage and inspiration for the generations to come.
