The COAS thanked China for support related to immediate medical supplies and other assistance especially the visit of Chinese medical experts to help Pakistan fight the pandemic.

He said while the world is still making efforts to find cure against COVID 19, multinational support and global cooperation remains vital to boost national efforts to manage the disease and also its economic impact.

Visiting dignitary re-assured China’s continued support for Pakistan at all forums.

Pakistan is dealing with Coronavirus through multi-pronged strategy.

The Covid19 poses serious challenge to Pakistan with 3,946 new coronavirus cases surfaced in the country over the last twenty-four hours.

It took the total tally to 185,034. Moreover, it claimed 105 more lives during last 24 hours across Pakistan.

The death toll from the virus stands at 3695 with 105 deaths reported over the last twenty-four hours.

24,599 corona tests carried out during this period.

According to the official figures, 73,471 patients have so far recovered from the disease.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed to ensure finalization and implementation of SOPs regarding coronavirus.

He also recommended to to do so in consultation with the provincial governments in view of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
