JD Vance breaks silence on Donald Trump and Elon Musk drama

Vice President JD Vance appeared to quietly speak out about the drama between President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk. Their public fallout has made headlines and stirred reactions online.

Vance shared a photo on social media with comedian Theo Von. Along with the picture, he posted a light joke: “Slow news day, what are we even going to talk about?” Many took this as a subtle reference to the tension between Trump and Musk.

This was Vance’s first public comment — though indirect — on the feud. Von replied playfully, “We will think of somethin’.” Interestingly, Musk also responded with a laughing-crying emoji, adding fuel to the online buzz.

The spat between Trump and Musk started when Musk strongly criticized the president’s massive spending bill. He called it “pork-filled” and accused lawmakers of wasting taxpayers’ money. Musk claimed that such spending is pushing America towards financial crisis.

Later, Trump was asked about Musk’s comments during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Trump said he didn’t expect Musk to react that way. He added that Musk might be upset about two things: the rollback of electric vehicle subsidies and the removal of a Musk-backed NASA nominee.

Trump suggested these decisions may have hurt Musk’s business interests with Tesla and SpaceX. He also denied that Musk had anything to do with his 2024 election win.

Musk hit back hard. He said Trump wouldn’t have won without his support. He posted on X that without him, Democrats would have controlled Congress and the Senate.

Trump, on the other hand, claimed Musk was no longer useful to his administration. He said he asked Musk to leave and criticized him for acting out.

As things escalated, Trump threatened to cancel government contracts with SpaceX and Tesla. He hinted this would save billions from the federal budget.

Then, Musk dropped a bombshell. He accused Trump of being mentioned in the sealed Jeffrey Epstein files. Musk’s post ended with: “Have a nice day, DJT!” Trump did not directly respond to this explosive claim but seemed unbothered on Truth Social.

Meanwhile, rapper Kanye West also chimed in. He asked both men to stop fighting, saying fans love them both.
