Washington: The American newspaper The New York Times has claimed that Iran has proposed suspending uranium enrichment for 5 years.

According to a report in an American newspaper, the United States has rejected Iran’s offer.

According to the New York Times, the United States is insisting that Iran suspend uranium enrichment for 20 years.

The report quoted American and Iranian officials as saying that during the talks in Pakistan, the United States and Iran exchanged various proposals regarding the suspension of Tehran’s nuclear activities, but the two sides were unable to reach an agreement.

It should be noted that the first phase of negotiations between Pakistan and the United States took place in Islamabad on April 11. Negotiations between delegations from both countries continued for about 21 hours, but the negotiations ended without reaching a deal.

In this regard, US Vice President JD Vance said in an interview that there has been positive progress in the negotiations with Iran, we have put our proposals before Iran and now the ball is in Iran’s court.
