China Warns Middle East at ‘Critical Juncture’ After Trump Extends Iran Ceasefire

China has said that the situation in the Middle East is at a “critical juncture” following the extension of the Iran ceasefire by US President Donald Trump to allow more time for negotiations.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated that the region is currently transitioning between war and peace, making the situation highly sensitive.

He emphasized that the top priority for all sides must be to prevent any resumption of hostilities and avoid further escalation of conflict.

The statement came after the US extended the Iran ceasefire, giving additional time for diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran to continue.

China urged all involved parties to focus on dialogue and diplomacy as the only way forward for stability in the region.

It also warned that failure of negotiations could quickly reverse progress and increase tensions once again in the Middle East.
