IRGC launches ‘Operation Nasr’ against key Israeli airbases

08 June, 2026 13:00

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said on Monday that it launched a major retaliatory operation targeting key Israeli airbases, including Nevatim and Tel Nof.

In a statement, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force began “Operation Nasr” (Operation Victory) in response to recent Israeli military actions.

“This operation was carried out in response to the missile aggression by the child-killing Zionist regime (Israel) against several radar sites in three locations across Iran,” the statement said.

The IRGC stated that the quick response and the wide range of targets were part of its military strategy during the operation.

The statement also said that all IRGC combat and operational units remain on high alert and are fully prepared for further action if required.

According to the IRGC, the operation followed recent Israeli actions against Lebanon, including attacks on Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiyeh and the reported use of phosphorus bombs.

Earlier, Iranian armed forces launched a missile barrage toward Israeli-held territories. Israeli media reported that warning sirens sounded in several areas, including the Golan Heights, Tiberias, Safed, Nazareth, Haifa, and other cities.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said Iran launched a new wave of missile attacks on Monday.

Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom reported that Iran fired 10 missiles toward settlements in the West Bank, causing damage to three buildings.

Israeli media also reported that warning sirens were activated at the Hatzerim military base, as well as in Tel Aviv and nearby southern areas.

The latest developments mark another escalation in tensions between Iran and Israel, with both sides continuing to exchange accusations and military actions.
