US President Donald Trump has announced that planned military action against Iran has been stopped as negotiations between the two sides move close to completion.

He said the agreement documents are in their final stage and could be signed soon, possibly by the end of the week in Europe. Trump also said US Vice President JD Vance would attend the signing ceremony.

According to him, the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened immediately after the deal is signed, and the proposed agreement has received support across the Middle East.

Trump claimed that Iran’s top leadership, including the Supreme Leader, supports the deal. He also said Iran would not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons under the agreement.

He further stated that Pakistan is playing a positive role in peace efforts and praised Pakistan’s leadership for their involvement.

Trump also said he discussed the situation with Israel and described the ongoing talks as being at a very advanced stage.

Earlier, in a post on Truth Social, Trump said negotiations with Iran had reached a high level and received key approvals, leading him to pause planned military strikes.
