Hezbollah Chief Says Resistance Has Entered Phase of “Breaking the Israeli Project”

Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem said the resistance movement has entered a new phase that he described as “breaking the Israeli project,” claiming that efforts to eliminate Hezbollah militarily, politically, culturally, and socially have failed. Speaking in a televised address on Tuesday, Qassem said the campaign aimed at erasing Hezbollah and its supporters over the past several years had not achieved its objectives.
According to Qassem, the movement has emerged from a critical period stronger and remains a central force in Lebanon’s political and security landscape. He acknowledged that future challenges and attempts to weaken Hezbollah may continue but argued that a major project targeting the organization’s existence had been defeated. He framed the development as a significant moment in the history of Lebanon, its resistance movement, its army, and its people.
Addressing the ceasefire situation, Qassem reiterated Hezbollah’s demand for a complete Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territory. He said Israel must adhere to an agreed timetable for withdrawal and insisted that no part of Lebanese land should remain under occupation. The remarks come amid ongoing regional diplomatic efforts aimed at preserving the ceasefire and preventing a renewed escalation along the Lebanon-Israel border.
