Iran Denies Scheduled Technical Talks with US in Doha

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has dismissed reports claiming that technical talks with the United States are scheduled to take place in Doha this week, saying no such meetings have been confirmed.
Gharibabadi, a senior member of Iran’s negotiating team, said media reports suggesting imminent working-group discussions under a recently signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Tehran and Washington were inaccurate. He stressed that “holding technical meetings of the working groups have not been scheduled for this week.”
He added that Iran continues consultations with Qatar, including follow-up discussions on the implementation of commitments made under the Islamabad MoU. The statement comes amid ongoing speculation about behind-the-scenes diplomatic engagement between Tehran and Washington.
