Hezbollah Lawmaker Says Lebanon Remains Key Priority for Iran

A Lebanese lawmaker from Hezbollah’s political wing has said Lebanon remains a key priority for Iran in any potential agreement with the United States. Hassan Ezzedine, a member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, criticized the Lebanese government’s framework agreement, claiming it was imposed by Washington in favor of Israel and did not serve Lebanon’s national interests.

Ezzedine described the agreement as “humiliating” and argued that none of its stated objectives would be achieved. He accused the Lebanese government of conceding to external pressure and said the deal benefited Israel at Lebanon’s expense.

The Hezbollah legislator also praised Iran’s regional influence, saying the Islamic Republic has demonstrated its strength in both military affairs and diplomacy. He attributed Iran’s role to its political, security, economic, and geopolitical capabilities, arguing that these factors have enabled it to effectively manage both conflict and negotiations.
