US Survey Shows Record Low National Pride Amid Growing Political Divide

A recent survey in the United States has found that national pride among Americans has fallen to its lowest level in more than two decades, with sharp differences across political and generational groups.
The poll, conducted by Gallup and published on Monday, found that 58% of US adults said they were “extremely” or “very” proud to be American. This marks an 8% decline from last year and the lowest level recorded since the question was first asked in 2001.
The survey also showed that 9% of respondents were “not at all proud,” while 22% described themselves as “moderately proud” and 15% said they were “only a little proud.” The findings highlighted a widening partisan gap, with around 70% of Republicans expressing strong pride compared to 28% of Independents and 14% of Democrats.
