Armenian and Assyrian Christians Mourn Ayatollah Khamenei-Call for National Unity

Members of Iran’s Armenian Catholic community, alongside Assyrian Christians, have expressed condolences following the martyrdom of Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, describing his passing as a significant loss for the nation. Community representatives said they stand in solidarity with the Iranian people during the period of mourning and offered prayers in his memory.

In a statement attributed to the Armenian Christian community in Mazandaran, the Leader’s death was described as “a great tragedy in Iran’s history.” The statement encouraged citizens from all backgrounds to participate in a large funeral procession to honor his legacy and reaffirmed the community’s commitment to Iran and its national unity.

The Christian communities also reiterated their loyalty to the Islamic Republic, saying the Leader’s martyrdom has strengthened national solidarity. Their message echoed similar expressions of support and condolences issued by various religious minority groups across the country following the incident.
