Iran Reaffirms Missile and Drone Programs Are Non-Negotiable

Iran’s acting Defense Minister, Brigadier General Majid Ibn Reza, has reaffirmed that the country’s missile and drone capabilities are non-negotiable, describing them as a fundamental component of Iran’s national security. He said efforts to strengthen and expand the programs will continue despite external pressure.

In a post on the social media platform X on Wednesday, Ibn Reza said he made the remarks during a meeting with members of the Iranian Parliament’s Economic Committee. He outlined various aspects, achievements, and lessons of the Ramadan War, while emphasizing the role of Iran’s defense capabilities in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty.

The acting defense minister stressed that enhancing Iran’s defensive strength remains a strategic priority. He said the country’s missile and drone programs represent a national security red line and will continue to advance as part of Iran’s long-term defense strategy.
