Field Marshal Asim Munir Meets New National Strategic Command Chief, Says ISPR

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met Commander National Strategic Command General Syed Amir Raza following his assumption of the new command, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). During the meeting, the Chief congratulated General Amir Raza on taking over his new responsibilities and extended his best wishes for a successful tenure.

The ISPR said General Syed Amir Raza was presented with a Guard of Honour upon assuming command of the National Strategic Command. The ceremony marked the formal transition of leadership and reflected the importance of the strategic institution within Pakistan’s defence structure.

As part of the official proceedings, General Syed Amir Raza also visited the Yadgar-e-Shuhada (Martyrs’ Memorial), where he laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha in tribute to the country’s fallen soldiers. According to the ISPR, the ceremony reaffirmed the armed forces’ commitment to honouring the sacrifices made in the defence of Pakistan.
