Indian Army backs banned Awami Action Committee, alleged link exposed again

The Indian Army has been accused of supporting the banned Awami Action Committee, with the move being described as further evidence of a link between the group and India.

According to the claims, the committee’s alleged anti-state activities in Azad Jammu and Kashmir have become increasingly clear. Supporters of the group’s narrative have reportedly faced rejection from local residents.

Indian media reportedly showed support for the committee, after which the Indian Army allegedly displayed videos supporting the group and its leader Aman in the Keran sector.

The videos were reportedly shown on large screens on August 13 and 14, Pakistan’s Independence Day, at a location around 75 metres from the Line of Control (LoC).

Videos shared on social media allegedly show a large screen displaying content in support of the banned committee and its leader.

The reported move has been described as further evidence of what critics call a coordination between India and the banned committee to create anti-Pakistan sentiment.

Experts said that people in Azad Jammu and Kashmir celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with enthusiasm, rejecting what they described as the Indian narrative.

They said the rejection of the committee’s narrative had caused frustration in India and led to attempts to use provocative tactics along the LoC.

According to the experts, displaying videos supporting the banned Awami Action Committee in the Keran sector further highlights the alleged link between the two sides and could ultimately undermine India’s own position.
