Israeli Drone Strike Kills Two Palestinians in Gaza Displacement Camp

Two Palestinians were killed and several others injured after an Israeli drone targeted a tent sheltering displaced people near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.

Medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital identified the victims as Mohammed Nasser Abu Assad and Ibrahim Nasser Abu Assad.

The strike hit a tent where displaced Palestinians were taking shelter, according to hospital sources. Israeli warplanes also carried out two strikes near the hospital, while Israeli artillery shelled an area south of the Maghazi refugee camp.

The latest attacks came hours after Israeli strikes in central and southern Gaza killed two Palestinians, including a child, and injured 14 others.

A medical source said two people were killed and seven others wounded in an Israeli strike on Az-Zawayda in central Gaza shortly after the Israeli military issued an evacuation warning.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the latest deaths have taken the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire that began on October 10, 2025, to 1,286.

Since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza in October 2023, more than 73,400 Palestinians have reportedly been killed in the territory.

The prolonged war has devastated large parts of Gaza, reducing cities to rubble and displacing more than one million Palestinians.

According to the United Nations, new satellite assessments indicate that the destruction of buildings in Gaza has increased by nearly 10 percent since the fragile ceasefire began in October.
