IRGC Official Warns of Further Iranian “Surprises” Against Adversaries

A senior Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) official has warned that Iran’s adversaries should expect further “pride-inspiring and unique” surprises if they continue what Tehran describes as aggression and strategic miscalculations. Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif, the IRGC’s former spokesman and current adviser to its commander-in-chief, made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran on Wednesday, stressing that Iran’s armed forces maintain comprehensive intelligence surveillance across the region.
Sharif described Iran’s control of the Strait of Hormuz as a “strategic and deterrent weapon,” arguing that it has altered the regional balance and become a model for the Resistance Front. He also pointed to the capture of an unmanned US underwater intruder in the strait, unveiled on Tuesday, as evidence of Iran’s technological capabilities and active deterrence. “If the enemy insists on continuing its aggression and its miscalculations, it should prepare itself to witness further pride-inspiring and unique Iranian surprises,” he warned.
The IRGC adviser said the United States and Israel must recognize what he called the realities on the ground, arguing that Iran’s forces possess the faith, wisdom and courage to confront hostile pressure. His remarks come amid heightened tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, which Tehran has increasingly portrayed as a key arena of confrontation. Recent military exchanges have included US strikes on Iranian oil tankers and Iranian missile attacks targeting US naval forces.
