Iran Sets Seven Conditions for Renewed Talks With US, Senior Official Says

Iran has outlined seven conditions for resuming negotiations with the United States, according to Major General Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. In a post on X, Rezaei said Tehran had conveyed its conditions to Washington and that the US must accept Iran’s stated rights and terms if it wants to resolve the conflict.

Speaking to Qatar-based Al Jazeera, Rezaei said Iran had communicated its demands through Qatari mediators and was awaiting US President Donald Trump’s response. He said the conditions include ending the war on all fronts, releasing Iran’s frozen financial assets and ending the naval blockade.

Rezaei said the proposed conditions were intended to provide a basis for renewed negotiations between Tehran and Washington. The comments come amid a reported stalemate in efforts to reach an agreement to end hostilities and resume diplomatic talks.
