President seeks proposals from Ulema on congregations at mosques during Ramazan.

President Dr. Arif Alvi He discussed this idea in a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Federal Interior Minister Brig. jaz Ahmad Shah (retd) and Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Noor ul Haq Qadr attended the meeting.

They are exploring options regarding congregations at mosques during Ramazan.

Congregations also include Taraweeh Prayers.

In this regard, he will convene a meeting of provincial governors and Ulema on Saturday.

The recommendations of Ulema would help in devising a comprehensive policy by the government.

Earlier, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan spoke to the media.

She briefed the media on Federal Cabinet meeting held in Islamabad today.

She said the Prime Minister will take the nation into confidence by laying out a roadmap for future after consultation with all key stakeholders.

However, Federal Cabinet reviewed and discussed various important issues.

Cabinet was briefed about the proposed legislation to provide facilitation to construction sector.

She said in order to control inflation in the country and to ensure uninterrupted supply of items of daily use, an ordinance is being brought.

The cabinet members recommended strict punishments to be included in the proposed legislation against hoarders and smugglers.

In a tweet, she had said that government is extending financial assistance under Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program among deserving families.
