Over 22300 Coronavirus patients have so far recovered while more than 64 thousand suffered from the Covid19.

During last 24 hours, 2636 new coronavirus cases have surfaced in the country.

The authorities concerned conducted 11931 corona tests during the last twenty-four hours.

Meanwhile, 22,305 patients have so far recovered from the virus while the death toll stands at 1317 with 57 deaths reported during the last twenty four hours.

Now the total Coronavirus cases rose to 64,028.

22,964 cases detected in Punjab so far, 25309 in Sindh, 8842 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3928 in Balochistan, 2100 in Islamabad, 658 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 227 in Azad Kashmir.

On the other hand, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services, Dr. Zafar Mirza has said that the prevailing situation of the coronavirus in the country is not disastrous due to the government’s effective measures.

In an interview with PTV, he cited enhanced testing capacity of coronavirus patients that helped in reporting more patients.

Dr Zafar Mirza said the government is taking on board the provincial governments regarding all the decisions to contain COVID-19.

He urged the opposition parties should suggest measures to prevent its spread instead of doing politics on the deadly virus.

He also urged people to follow the Standard Operating Procedure, maintain social distancing, avoid shaking hands, wear masks and gloves to keep themselves safe from the coronavirus.
