Over 153000 Corona patients recovered in Pakistan so far.

As per the government data, 2752 new cases surfaced during the last twenty four hours. It took the tally to 246,351.

However, the officials also highlighted an improvement in the number of recoveries from COVID-19 in Pakistan.

They cited 153,134 recoveries out of 246,351 patients as an improved situation.

As per province wise data, 85,991 cases reported in in Punjab, 102,368 in Sindh, 29,775 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 11,128 in Balochistan, 13,927 in Islamabad, 1630 in Gilgit Baltistan and 1532 in Azad Kashmir.

The death toll from the virus has reached 5,123 with 65 more deaths reported over the last twenty four hours.

23,569 corona tests were carried out during this period.

Meanwhile, Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani called on Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday.

He presented him a cheque of Rs 3,215,000 which Senate of Pakistan to PM’s COVID-19 Relief Fund contributed

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Member National Assembly Zeeshan Khanzada accompanied him.

According to the PM Office press release, the MNA also presented a Rs8 million cheque to the prime minister for the Fund.

Guidelines for Eidul Azha

On the other hand, officials apprised the National Command and Operation Centre of preparing guidelines and sharing it with all the provinces regarding Eidul Azha.

The Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiative Asad Umar chaired the National Command and Operation Center’s meeting.

It reviewed Eidul Azha Cattle Market Management, Epidemic Curve Chart, availability of COVID-19 and Non COVID-19 medicines.

Asad Umar directed for evolving an effective monitoring mechanism to check social distancing and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures.

The National Command and Operation Centre suggested setting up Cattle Markets on the outskirts of the cities for specified time period, compulsory testing of animal handlers, and engaging ulema for implementation of Standard Operating Principles on the eve of Eid.

The NCOC was informed that World Health Organization has acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts to contain COVID-19 and termed Pakistani data accurate.
