Kashmiris all set to observe Thanksgiving Day on Independence Day of Pakistan on Friday with great enthusiasm, devotion and respect.

However, they will observe India’s Independence Day on Saturday as Black Day in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

All Parties Hurriyat Conference has given call for it, while various Hurriyat leaders and organizations their call for black day.

In a statement in Srinagar, The APHC said Pakistan serves as a shelter for the Muslim community.

Furthermore, it said the hearts of Kashmiri people beat with Pakistan.

Meanwhile, APHC leader Syed Ali Gilani asked people to observe complete shutdown on 15th August to keep alive the tradition of observing India’s Independence Day as a Black Day.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Hurriyat forum issued a statement in Srinagar.

It said the Kashmiris would observe India’s Independence Day as Black Day.

They said the would convey the message to the international community that New Delhi has usurped their inalienable right to self-determination by the dint of force.

The veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani also issued a message. He referred to India’s illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir.

He said a nation that resorts to usurpation and deprives others of their freedom, loses every right to celebrate its freedom.
