In this regard, Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri issued a statement.

He rejected the story circulating in a segment of the media as false and baseless.

The FO Spokesperson said this, while responding to media queries regarding role of Saudi Arabia in assessment of Pakistan’s FATF Action Plan.

He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy strong fraternal ties.

Chaudhry further said the two countries have always cooperated with each other on all matters of bilateral, regional and international importance.

He said Pakistan greatly values its relations with the brotherly Saudi Arabia and firmly rejects such malicious propaganda.

The FATF will announce its assessment of Pakistan’s progress on the Action Plan and the future course of action after conclusion of its Plenary Meeting.

Social media platforms remain rife with such reports that compelled Foreign Office to issue factual position.

Factually, FATF body had not issued any formal report.

But, some elements bean circulating that Saudi Arabia has again ditched Pakistan at FATF meeting.

Common man had to believe in such reports due to the fact that Saudi Arabia in one such meetings had no voted in favour of Pakistan.

That had deeply shocked the entire Pakistani nation.

Since Saudi Arabia’s tilt to India also remain noticeable, Pakistanis feelings for the regime began changing.

However, apparent state-to-state relations don’t reflect that change truly.
