Khalid Khurshid elected Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan

Khalid Khurshid elected Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan today (Monday).

Gilgit Baltistan Assembly elected him as leader of the house.

Khalid Khurshid elected Chief Minister

Election for leader of the house of Gilgit Baltistan Assembly held through show of hands in the GB Assembly Hall in Gilgit.

Speaker Syed Amjad Ali Zaidi presided the session.

Meanwhile, Barrister Muhammad Khalid Khurshid got 22 votes.

However, Opposition’s nominated-candidate Amjad Hussain lost to him, while securing only 9 votes.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf enjoys support from allied-independents.

Moreover, allied-party Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen also voted for Khalid Khurshid.
