Interior Minister briefed on steps for maintenance of peace in Sindh during his Karachi visit today (Thursday).

Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed also called on Governor Sindh Imran Ismail.

Director General Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Major General Iftikhar Hasan Chaudhary briefed him about the steps the Rangers had taken to maintain law and order in Sindh, particularly, in Karachi.

Earlier, DG Rangers accorded a very warm welcome to the Interior Minister on arrival at the Rangers headquarters.

According to a spokesperson of the Rangers, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed also laid floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada of the martyrs of Sindh Rangers. He offered Fateha.

Officials concerned briefed the Interior Minister on the operational preparedness of the Sindh Rangers.

Sheikh Rashid highly appreciated the the Sindh Rangers actions to eradicate crimes and establish long-lasting peace in Sindh.

Meanwhile, Minister of Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmad on Thursday called on Governor Imran Ismail at Sindh Governor House.

According to a Governor House statement, they discussed overall law and order situation in Sindh province.

Specially they discussed law and order in Karachi.

Moreover, they also discussed other issues of mutual interests,

Governor Imran Ismail on the occasion said that lights of the city had restored because of the better law and order situation.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that Pakistan Army had an important role in maintaining law and order situation in the country.
