Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi meets Sri Lankan counterpart during Colombo visit today.

While talking to Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, he expressed Pakistan’s commitment to further expand and strengthen bilateral ties with Sri Lanka in diverse fields.

Qureshi further said Pakistan and Sri Lanka have immense opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation.

He noted trade, investment, health, education, agriculture, science and Technology and other sectors as area of cooperation.

The Foreign Minister said Pakistan is standing side by side with Sri Lanka as partner for the development of human resources.

Moreover, Pakistan also stands by Sri Lanka for security cooperation, fighting terrorism, development and prosperity.

Meanwhile, he Sri Lankan Foreign Minister said that Imran Khan’s visit will help in strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation.

Earlier, Sri Lankan PM received Prime Minister Imran Khan on arrival in Colombo today (Tuesday).

The PM’s Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapaksa accorded warmed welcome to him at the airport.

Colombo presented gun salute and guard of honor besides hosting a reception in honor of Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The PM is visiting Sri Lanka at the invitation of his Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also accompanied Prime Minister Imran Khan.

PM’s Adviser on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood and Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Bukhari also accompanied him.
