Shafqat Mahmood advises PTI and govt to show restrain till foreign guest’s departure

Former PTI leader Shafqat Mahmood has advised the Imran Khan-founded party against holding protests till Oct 17 as what he called ‘respected foreign personalities’ are currently visiting the country.
Taking to X, formerly known as twitter, Mahmood said, at the same time, the government should also refrain from introducing controversial bills in the parliament.
Meanwhile, in view of PTI’s protest at D Chowk, the local administration has announced to keep private schools closed in Islamabad and Rawalpindi today (Friday).
The Islamabad Private School Association has announced closure of schools today in view of road closure.
General Secretary Private School Association Waheed Khan said that the safety of children is our first priority, even yesterday the students were suffering due to the containers.
Meanwhile, All Pakistan Private Schools Management Association North Punjab President Abrar Ahmed has also said in a statement that the educational institutions of Rawalpindi city will remain closed today due to a possible protest in Islamabad.
According to Abrar Ahmed, the decision to close the educational institutions has been taken due to the closure of the roads.
