Legendary actor Abid Kashmiri passes away

Pakistan’s legendary actor Abid Kashmiri passed away today.

His family while confirming the death said that the actor was ill for some time.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressing her grief over the death of renowned actor Abid Kashmiri has expressed her sympathy to the bereaved family and also prayed for departed soul.

Actor Abid Kashmiri has worked in hundreds of TV and stage plays as well as films.

Kashmiri was also awarded the Nigar Award for Best Comedy Actor for the 1988 film ‘Bazaar Husan’ while his famous films include Jeetain Hain Shaan Se and Ahat.

He also has a long list of TV dramas including Lohari Gate, Sooraj Kay Sath Sath, Teesra Kinara and Apnay Log.

Abid Kashmiri’s character ‘Gullu Badhshah’ in drama Samandar was very popular among fans.
