CM Maryam to leave for Geneva for treatment

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is set to leave for Geneva for treatment, Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed on Wednesday.
According to Marriyum, the CM Punjab’s health had deteriorated on Monday night and was admitted to the hospital.
“Maryam Nawaz has been working for eight months. She was admitted to the hospital due to deterioration of her health,” Aurangzeb explained.
She said that the daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had a thyroid surgery last year. She is experiencing complications related to her previous surgery.
The minister said that due to her health condition, Maryam Nawaz will be travelling to Geneva later tonight for immediate treatment under the care of her surgeon, who is based in the Swiss city.
She claimed that the CM’s doctor had called her in urgently and recommended that she seek medical attention immediately.
Maryam Nawaz is expected to return to Pakistan by November 12.
