Warner, Williamson, Smith likely to headline PSL10

After being snubbed from the recent Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, noticeable names including Steve Smith, David Warner, Kane Williamson and others are likely to headline the Pakistan Super League season 10 (PSL10) draft.

According to report, a plan is under consideration to bring big names in the draft for PSL10, which will be played after the ICC Champions Trophy.

A meeting of PSL franchise owners and management in this regards has already been held on Thursday.

The franchises insisted on finalising the PSL10 schedule and drafting dates as soon as possible. The PSL management and the franchises agreed to jointly bring big names in foreign player draft.

The franchises owners also requested financial support from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to bring in big names.

In the IPL, more emphasis was laid on bringing these solid players to Pakistan.

According to reports, PSL franchises have already started contacting Steve Smith, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Jonny Bairstow and others.

Finn Allen, Keshav Maharaj, Shakib al Hasan, Jamie Neesham, Tim Southee, Kushal Mendis have also been contacting by the franchises.

The franchises have requested the management to bring England players to Pakistan, franchises said that those England players who are not playing IPL should come to PSL.

About 150 players have already been identified for the PSL drafts.
