Wasim Akram slams national team, demands dismissal of 6 big names

Former Captain Wasim Akram has expressed his displeasure over the poor performance of the Pakistan team in the Champions Trophy.
In his post-match analysis on private TV, Wasim Akram openly criticized the team’s poor performance, weak strategy and ineffective play.
Wasim Akram said that the Pakistan cricket team has become accustomed to defeats. It’s time we brought new young cricketers into the white-ball team with no fear.
He said that even if we have to remove five or six big names from the team and of course we lose six months, but bring new boys into the team and support them fully.
He said that the preparation of the team for the 2026 World Cup should start now, enough is enough, we have seen the current players with a lot of chances.
Wasim Akram said that in Pakistan’s five matches, all the bowlers have taken 24 wickets at an average of 60.
The former fast bowler said that pakistan’s bowling has been the second worst in ODI cricket this year with teams from 14 countries, including Oman and US.
