Champions Trophy 2025: Australia-South Africa match abandoned due to rain

Persistent rain in Rawalpindi has led to the cancellation of the Champions Trophy match between Australia and South Africa, which was scheduled for today.
The toss was initially set for 1:30 PM local time, with the match to commence at 2:00 PM. However, continuous drizzle prevented the toss from taking place, and the wet outfield rendered play impossible.
As a result, both teams have been awarded one point each.
This outcome places South Africa and Australia at the top of Group B, each with three points.
The ongoing inclement weather in Rawalpindi raises concerns about potential disruptions to the tournament schedule.
Additionally, the Pakistan team’s practice session, which was planned for this evening, has been canceled due to the rain.
