Rashid Latif wants Shadab to captain Pakistan on New Zealand tour

Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has suggested Shadab Khan’s name for Pakistan captaincy in the upcoming tour of New Zealand.

The wicketkeeper-batter made the suggestion in a post on X after reports hinted at big changes in Pakistan squad following below par Champions Trophy campaign.

Apart from that, he took to X to recommend some young talent for the white-ball tour of New Zealand, featuring five T20Is and three ODIs.

Rashid stated that Hassan Nawaz, Ali Raza, Abdul Samad, Akif Javed, and Muhammad Nafay should be in contention for the Pakistan squad.

Moreover, he suggested to name Shadab Khan the captain of young side touring New Zealand.

The former wicketkeeper batter also listed several other players in the probable squad, including Muhammad Haris, Sufyan Muqeem, Arafat Minhas, Irfan Khan Niazi, Zaman Khan, Mohammad Wasim, Abbas Afridi, Jahandad Khan, Agha Salman, Abrar Ahmed, Omair Bin Yousuf and Khushdil Shah.
